Some people say there's no such thing as a free lunch. I say "Thank God for free lunches !". This is a Greek salad from Nick's. There was a communication breakdown and they gave one of my co-workers an extra one.

I'm trying to be good today ( and making up for no supper last night ). This is a pretty typical salad for me when I'm allowed to make my own.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Ah ! We have Hong Kong noodles with chicken from Fresh City.

Thursday, May 11, 2006

My boss is going to the doctor's for a physical so I can have whatever I want for lunch. This is meatloaf over fettucine.

Wednesday, May 10, 2006

I am by myself today at the office so I decided to have a treat . . . . Chinese ! This is Moo Goo Gai Pan with fried rice and an egg roll from Green Tea. It's delicious !

Tuesday, May 9, 2006

Lunch today in the rain-soaked Northeast is meatloaf, over rice. This will stick to my ribs, and hopefully NOT migrate to my waist area. I am determined not to have to buy new pants.

One of my faithful readers has pointed out that the internet is not a "9 to 5" operation; therefore we have a weekend posting ! Lunch today is stuffed shells and meatballs, with grated cheese. After the strict dieting I do during the week, it's nice to be able to let go on the weekend.

Thursday, May 4, 2006

Here is today's lunch, from Fresh City. Japanese Miso noodles with chicken. Yum yum! The past week or two has been pretty much what you've already seen ( no nutritional value ).

Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a calorie counter on this page so you could see exactly how much trouble I'm in. This is chicken, broccoli, and ziti ( NO grated cheese ) from Panella's. God I love to eat.

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

After filling up on the pasta dishes they give you before the Marathon, it's nice to get back to the basics. This is a salad from Sudbury Farms with eggs and chicken ( not sure which came first, the chicken or the egg ).

Wednesday, April 12, 2006

Here is today's repast . . . chicken, broccoli and ziti with 26 ounces of grated cheese on top ( yes, it's a pasta and dairy thing ). He makes a good lunch up the end of the street, and it's convenient. It's so close that most days I can't even get the volume on my car radio adjusted before I'm turning into the parking lot. I'll think about why I don't walk up there and that will be my exercise for today. I'd better sit down and rest.

One of my loyal readers pointed out that the purpose of a blog is to constantly update and post to it . . . not let 2-1/2 weeks go by in between ! So here's what I do best. EAT ! We have a wonderful Sudbury Farms salad with hard-boiled eggs, chicken, and cheese.

What kind of guy goes to Las Vegas for the week and doesn't bother to post anything to his blog? Well, ( apparently ), me. No pictures, no stories, no nothing. I brought my camera with me and everything. I can't even begin to describe the food, 'cause I'm on such a strict diet, but suffice it to say there is PLENTY OF IT. And at the right time too ( morning, noon, night ). Breakfast is scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, french toast, croissants, fresh fruit. Lunch is chicken breasts, salad, pasta, sauteed vegetables. Dinner is too much even for me.

One of my readers asks, "Why do you eat lunch at 10:00 in the morning ?". Well, young scholar, I live on the east coast. This site is hosted by a company not so fortunate, and therefore everything happens a couple of hours later for them than for us. Today is almost a repeat of yesterday, with McDonald's salad being the fare ( grilled chicken bacon ranch ). Last night was chicken dijonnaise at Dunn & Gaherin's.

Thursday, March 16, 2006

What kind of person has so little imagination that all he can post is a picture of his lunch every day ? Let's not go there. Instead, here's a McDonald's Cobb salad with grilled chicken. Not bad for fast food.

Wednesday, March 15, 2006

The photographer called in sick yesterday, so the description of lunch will have to suffice. Today, however, we are back on track. This is chicken, broccoli, and ziti with grated cheese.

Tuesday, March 14, 2006

You might have noticed that there's no mention whatsoever about what I eat for breakfast or supper. Last night was grilled swordfish over potatoes at one of my favorite places, Dunn & Gaherin's. Lunch today is stuffed shells with sauce and meatballs. I watched aerobics on TV this morning, so I need a hearty meal to keep me going.

You can read some amazing things in the newspaper. This was in the police blotter on March 9th ( and no, I am not making this up ) " A caller reported a large Siamese cat that has been in her yard. She has been feeding the cat." I don't know much about animals, but I think they tend to hang around your yard IF YOU FEED THEM.
Switching to a much more important subject, here is today's lunch. A salad with hard-boiled eggs, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, and cheese. Never mind the 2 gallons of Caesar dressing.

Friday, March 10, 2006

In keeping with the theme, here's lunch. A delicious bacon cheeseburger with onion rings from the Biltmore. Is there really a Surgeon General ? And why is his opinion so important ? At least I exercise regularly.

Thursday, March 9, 2006

Day two and I've achieved writer's block . . . here's a picture of today's lunch. Maybe I can post a picture of everrything I eat and that will save a lot of time during the autopsy ( ha ha ). We have a garden salad with grilled turkey tips and creamy Italian dressing ( calories to wipe out the good work the salad is supposed to do ).

Okay, I need to get started. Here I am the day after Christmas ( so my Mom could see that I wore my new shirt ).
I've been meaning to do this for a while ( not that I think anyone was waiting for it ! ). Hopefully I can have some creative fun with it and my friends will drop in every so often to see what's new.
